Who are we ?

Station dans le cloître avant un office Our Community was born in the 1970s. It has the name “Canons Regular of the Mother of God” and received from the Holy See its status “of Pontifical Right” under canon law in 1997.

Installed in the Abbey of Our Lady of Lagrasse since 2004, it is there that we Notre Père Abbé rencontre le Pape en 2008 lead our life as a community of canons (a life of contemplation in personal prayer and liturgical worship, and of mission in the diocese of Carcassonne and throughout France) according to the Marian spirituality of St Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort and of St Maximilien-Marie Kolbe.

The Community has 34 members. A Community of Sisters is attached to it, which has its home about 30km from the Abbey of Lagrasse, at the “Mater Dei” Monastery of Azille (Aude).
